Bryan and Jacki's paths first crossed back in 2001, thanks to a shared friend group in Redwood City. Bryan thought Jacki was fun and exciting & Jacki thought Bryan was the trustworthy, steady type. Life took them in different directions for a while, but in May 2020, they reconnected and something just clicked. It wasn't a fireworks moment so much as an "oh, there you are" moment. The instant chemistry that somehow felt like they'd known each other forever.
Not long after, Jacki showed up at Bryan's place in Forestville, fell in love with the peaceful quiet of it, and introduced Bryan to a sacred truth he didn't know he was missing: White Claws. "Claw is law" became their unofficial motto, and the rest, as they say, is history. By May 2021, Bryan had officially moved in joining Jacki's two cats, Ninja and Yolandi, who'd been running the household long before he showed up. From there, things only kept building: concerts, Palm Springs trips, wrestling nights, Niners Sundays, Santa Cruz hangouts, backyard BBQs, and eventually a frog named Jacob Fatu to round out the family. In November 2024, Bryan landed a better job at Caltrain, and in February 2026, the two upgraded to a bigger condo together. The proof that whatever they're building, they're building it as a team.
Ask either of them why it works, and you'll get the same answer: they can't quite explain it, it just is easy, comfortable, and right. That same nervous, can't help it energy showed up when Bryan took Jacki to West Cliff to propose. He had ring in hand, heart racing, and laughing uncontrollably the entire time out of pure nerves. Jacki said yes anyway, laughing right along with him. This is because that's them in a nutshell: a little chaotic, completely comfortable, and absolutely sure about each other.
